About Steve

I started playing guitar when I was eleven and have been performing and recording music ever since.

As a guitarist I’ve recorded, toured, and gigged with a number of bands in a variety of genres, and as a solo performer. I have a degree in music from Toronto’s York University.

After university I began working in the technical side of the audio industry, where I got in to production, engineering and mixing. I spent the better part of a decade building and supporting audio production systems as a Product Specialist at Toronto’s Saved By Technology (since acquired by Long and McQuade and reopened as L&M Pro).

During that time, I learned about all things audio, and helped support Toronto’s post production and broadcast communities. I had the chance to provide studio tech support to artists like Rush and Tom Cochrane, and live tech support to artists as varied as Def Leppard, David Foster, Mary J Blige, I Mother Earth and The Tea Party.

Marble Hill Sound is the unfolding result of 25+ years of playing, learning, and growing as musician and audio engineer.
